I bought these boots in preparation for a 7000 mile cross country USA motorcycle trip. Out of the box, they were relatively lightweight, comfortable and provided good support, with easy on and off thanks to the Velcro closure system. Fit is true to size. On the road these provided good protection from debris and weather. I have had these through rain so intense that cars were pulled over for the lack of visibility and water accumulation on the road, and never had any water enter the boot. They are comfortable to walk in for normal use and short hikes, and so far, the soles have worn well and they have not slipped-out where traction is important. I ride all year in NorCal, and these are noticeably too warm, but tolerable, above 90F, but are otherwise excellent in temperatures down to freezing. No complaints in lots of miles.
Good comfort and safety, excellent rain and water protection.

They are fairly comfortable maybe a little too warm for summer days, however, they should work fine in the fall.
They seem to be "pushing" against my shins while riding. Nothing that I would call uncomfortable on a 3 hrs ride, I will see what happens on a longer one.
Also, they might be hard to put on for people with high instep.
