Scala G4 - I love itOct 02, 2010
By Jeff Lo I am very happy with the G4. I have used the Bluetooth connection to my phone, the FM receiver, and the MP3 cabled connection. I had no problem getting Bluetooth to connect to my phone; the noise canceling works very well (at least up to speeds of 75mph) and many have said I sound better on this headset than with my normal bluetooth and wired headsets; audio in the helmet is great (I wear ear plugs and it still works great); my iPod connected with the provided cable sounds great. The best is the AGC, which does a great job of adjusting the audio level as noise increases/decreases. The only small issue is the FM receiver isn't very good, so weaker stations do not come in. I have not used the intercom and have therefore have not tried to sync to other G4 or G2 units so cannot provide feedback on that feature.
Some notes about installation: I had to cut some of my lining (nothing too intrusive) to use the clamp attachment. You would not need to do this if you use the glue option. Also, speaker placement inside the helmet is critical. The speakers are flat and use velcro hooks to attach to you helmet lining. I moved the speakers around several times so that they are directly over my ear. This assures good sound and great comfort. If you don't do this you will suffer a dramatic decrease in perceived volume level. For me, this is pretty much a 5 star product, but perhaps some would take away a star because of the weak FM receiver.
All in all, I am very happy and have already recommended this to all of my riding buddies.

the scala g4 didnt work, when i tried to connect to another scala Q2 i could barely hear and when i try to volume up it was worst because of the interference and i was 20 feets away from the other driver, it doesnt matter the distance, it was always the same annoying interference noise, i have try many ways but it didnt work, i feel really scammed.
Cardo G4 Scala RiderAug 12, 2011
By S. Walters I ordered this G4 to replace the one I've had for 3 years. I ride my motorcycle to work (110 miles round trip) nearly every day, so I wasn't surprised that the old one wore out after riding (and using it) that much in the cold, heat, rain, etc.
The G4 is a sturdy device, it mounts easily to the side of your helmet and once on, you don't realize it's there. It pairs well with just about every Bluetooth device I own, and also works nicely hard wired to my Sirius/XM Sportster and iPod. The microphone is well insulated so you don't get much road noise when talking bike-to-bike or on a cell phone. The boom for the mic is snake-like and adjusts well for full face, modular or open face helmets.
If I have just one complaint about the G4, it's the delay in the push-to-talk feature for bike to bike transmission. There is a 2 to 3 second delay once the button is pushed. It's inhibiting if there is a sudden road hazard or I need to alert my husband quickly to turn or stop. Not sure why that happens, and if anyone has a solution I'd be glad to hear it.
amazing but has some glitchesMay 01, 2011
By Ajene I love this product, the only problem I have with it is that sometimes while listening to music, it will cut out for a few seconds and the cut back in
