I like these pants. They are comfortable and cool. The armor in the knee feels like it is in a good location. The venting is decent although to take advantage of it I have to pull my legs away from the tank and hold them open spread eagle style. They are short. I am 6'1" and have to pull them down at every stop. If not, the cuffs are 6" up my boot. There is NO hip armor.
